Ordering Information

I supply, at my own cost, two sizes of Styrofoam boxes inserted inside cardboard containers. The one is a PP84(8x10x12) which holds four bettas in the warmer months or three bettas plus a heat pack in the colder months. The other size is a PP3M(10x12x14) which will accommodate up to 14 bettas and a heat pack or more if the heat pack is not needed. I also supply the heat packs myself. I prefer to ship all Bettas on Mondays (except Holidays) to avoid any mail delays and weekend delays. If room in the box I usually add some extra free Bettas. I now use UPS next day and guarantee it or two day with no guarantee on shipping. . Once the box leaves my hand I have no control over its shipping or time of delivery. I do ship all Bettas in water treated with BettaFix.

I have been dealing with PayPal now for 8 plus years, buying and selling fish and products. I am thoroughly satisfied with their service. Review the PayPal system and give it a shot. It is simple and easy, money can be taken out of an account and sent to any e-mail address in less than 5 minutes and the recipient can take it out and deposit it or use it there. It definitely is worth the speed it exchanges money.

I prefer UPS next day shipping because they have been the most reliable. Shipping used to be $35 to $45 but now it is $55 to $75 for the larger box. The variance in price is dictated by the distance the container must travel. As a basic rule you can figure the distance from my shipping address in York PA 17319 and get an idea of the cost. The smaller box I use generally weighs less than 3 lbs and will get billed for 6 lbs. The larger box generally weighs less than 7 lbs and will get billed for 9 lbs. But that is just an estimate.

The whole picture is we want to ship Bettas from point A to point B the fastest way possible. The longer the Bettas are in the mail, the more variables of weather delays, air delays, delivery delays, and lost and misplaced containers come into the equation. Remember I have been buying and selling fish and sending fish to IBC Shows for over 40 years.

The main object is to explain to new breeders it is paramount to avoid any all delays possible. Whether it is too cold or too hot or a delay at the airport, mail box, mail truck, etc. is where the problems occur.!
